Hi, I'm Helen, a Brit' transplant who now lives on the 'other side of the pond' in British Columbia, Canada with my husband Chris and Vizsla pup Meli. By day I have the good fortune to work part time for a fabulous non-profit agency on a Healthy Weight initiative for Children and the rest of the time for myself as a freelance organizer, administrator and social media editor. I've been blogging since 2006 when I started documenting our 'Road Trip USA' adventures travelling across North America in Harvey the RV - a 4.5 year trip that Chris and I took after taking a career break cum mini retirement. That was then, and this is 'What Happened Next...'
All that travelling eventually led us to emigrate and we set up home in the gorgeous Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. These days I'm blogging about my awesome (eh!) Canadian life in my adopted country. We love staying at home, getting local and being tourists in our own town as much as we love travelling and I'll blog about it all! I'm a (seasonal) runner ;-) with the half marathon distance as my all-time fav, though I'm game for any fitness challenge and adventure that comes my way be it a 'one-time-only' Full Marathon, Tough Mudder, Colour Runs, City Chase, Trail runs and the odd 10km.
And Food....I love food! I love cooking but most of all I love eating too! I'm no Martha Stewart but I love to share my recipes
And so, when I'm not running, travelling, hanging out in the beautiful Okanagan with Chris & Meli-pup, eating and cooking food I also squeeze in time to play with paper and crafts - as well as this blog I love documenting my life via scrapbooks and my 'project life' albums.
